Little bit of help please?

Okay! So for work we’ve been asked to select a favourite quote by Friday. And I’ve gotten it narrowed down to four, but I’m really not sure where to go from there. These four certainly display some of my fangirlishness passions – though, I’ve avoided Doctor Who, as I don’t think anyone else there would appreciate the whole “We would destroy the Cybermen with one Dalek! You superior in only one respect. You are better at dying.” thing.

Anyway! What I’ve got it narrowed down to is:

1. “Do, or do not. There is no try.” Because Star Wars is totally made of win. And I love Yoda.

2. “I am a leaf on the wind. Watch how I soar.” Because Serenity is also totally made of win. And I also love Wash. Except that it breaks my heart.

3. “Literature is medicine, wisdom, elastopast. Everything.” From History Boys (the play, not the movie).

4. “All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost.” Lord of the Rings. Fellowship of the Ring. You know. Wonderful stuff.

See, they’re all really GOOD quotes, I can’t decide what I like best. Yay for being completely 100% indecisive about EVERYTHING. So, I’m looking for some help. If you could help me decide, it would be greatly appreciated. I’ve installed a poll plugin here on WordPress (hopefully it works okay), and it’ll only take a second or two to help me out. Thanks so much folks. :)

Help me pick a quote!

The History Boys

I’ve seen The History Boys a couple of times in as many weeks. (It’s good. Rent it. Buy it. Whatever. Just watch it.) And there’s this one bit that really jumped out at me. I wanted to share it, and get it down so I remember it.

The best moments in reading are when you come across something – a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things – which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours.
