Where Fiction and Reality Meet

Listed: Jekyll and Hyde

One of the books that I’ve recently just finished (that I haven’t yet blogged about) reminded me in some respects quite a bit of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, inspiring this week’s Listed feature.

So I’ve included below ten books that are inspired by, continuations of, or just include the characters of Jekyll and Hyde… but I couldn’t quite find ten, so it’s a little bit shorter this week than it usually is. Ah well. :)

  1. Jacqueline Hyde by Robert Swindells. Originally Published 1996. LT.
  2. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen by Alan Moore. Originally Published 2000. LT.
  3. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Holmes by Loren D. Estleman. Originally Published 1980. LT.
  4. Jekyll and Heidi by R.L. Stein. LT.
  5. Mary Reilly by Valerie Martin. Originally Published 1990. LT.
  6. The Jekyll Legacy by Robert Bloch. Originally Published 1991. LT.
  7. Jekel Loves Hyde by Beth Fantaskey. Originally Published 2010. LT.

Do you know any other books based on Stevenson’s Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde?

Do you like this feature? You should also check out Librarian’s Book Reviews’ Listless Monday, A Bookshelf Monstrosity’s Books By A Theme and Birdbrain(ed) Book Blog’s Birdwatching.
