I have a new baby! Her name is Nymphadora, and you can see a bigger picture by clicking on the thumbnail. Sadly, she doesn’t change colours or anything fun like the character she is named after, but I love her dearly.
I picked her up from the dealer on Saturday; she drives wonderfully. So much smoother than my previous car. The old one used to make all sorts of noises in the cold weather – squeaks, squeals, tickings – all of which the mechanics could never discover what was making the noises. And she didn’t accelerate very well, which was never fun for highway driving. Plus, when I had the radio on, and put my foot on the brake, all I got was static. Very odd. She was old, though. Ten years. I will miss her dearly, but oh, how I love my Nymphadora.

Congratulations!! I like the name. Of course I think you should do something like this with it…

Thanks Larina and Chris!
Heather – funny you should mention that. I’ve actually been debating getting something from the Blik Autographics line…

She’s very lovely. It’s always so nice to get a new vehicle that runs smoothly and looks gorgeous, too.

Congrats on Tonks! I have a 10 year old silver civic that I’m getting ready to replace. Right now I’m going back and forth between the hybrid Civic and the Prius. I’ve reached the point where my car is no longer the silent running machine it once was. I’m noticing that if I don’t have the radio turned up, it sort of sounds like a lawnmower now. That can’t be good, can it?

jmfausti – Mine was a 10 year old civic too, though green and not silver… and no, I think the lawnmower sounds probably isn’t a good thing, lol.

Congratulations. I have a re-newed baby. Painted blue morning glories all over my ’92 Camry. Every time I walk out and see her I’m happy. If you want to look, she’s on my blog–this August. Tagged: Morning Glory.
